The entire month of March could be summed up with one single word: SNOW. I really believed that the last post about Winter Break Part II would be the last I would write about the snow. But no, there were two more storms that kept the boys out of school for multiple days and the twenty degree weather was something we just had to endure. After the last storm the kids never even went out and played in it...we were all just tired of the white stuff! We didn't even make it up to the ski resort for those last two storms either. Once we made it half way, then realized that by the time we got there we'd only have about 30 minutes to spend on our favorite lift, so they boys voted to turn around. I know, crazy, but true. The weather has also wrecked havoc on the spring soccer season with half of the games cancelled and most of the practices as well. It's just been a long, wet and cold winter....unlike any other we've had since we moved here almost 8 years ago.
But, now that March is truly out like a lamb, Spring seems to tentatively be making it's way back into our world.
This was Caleb pretending to be happy that we were going to have to shovel the driveway because our neighbor who usually plows for us was out of town. It took several hours and we only cleared the steepest parts, hoping that would be enough to get out and possibly ski the next day.
